What do you do/what is your business?:
I'm a copywriter and brand voice strategist. I've been telling stories in various forms since I was very young - namely on stage in musicals and voicing cartoon characters! But I realized somewhere along the way that writing was kind of my jam -- and I was good at it! So I started writing as a career, working freelance for other creative design and copy businesses and their clients. Fast forward a bunch of years and I've just launched Wordcraft Studio, my own business, and brand!
What or who inspires you the most?:
Oh gosh, that's a tough one. I find inspiration in lots of places and I suppose different people offer it at different points in my life, you know? My little family is (and always will be) a great source of inspiration for me - my husband and son remind me on the daily of what's important, of what matters most, and what a kind person I want to be. So that certainly informs my direction not only in my work but in my life as a whole!
Other women who are mums and wives living a loving family life, who acknowledge the importance of self-care, and who've also managed to build kick-arse businesses that make a positive difference are also hugely inspiring to me. I'm not saying they're perfect, not at all. Just real women who embrace, family, growth, confidence, and kindness, you know? Those values are key.
Outside of people? Creativity, music, and theatre are inspiring and getting away from the noise and into nature is inspiring.
Also getting to the end of the workweek knowing there is a glass or two of wine and 2 days of chill can be pretty inspiring, haha.

Leon. It's awesome!
Why did you choose that particular template?:
I loved the soft, rounded, and more natural vibes of the template. I love a bit of cheek and humor, but when it comes down to it, being grounded, warm, and welcoming feels like that place of origin, and the Leon template felt like those things. My goofy comes out in my copy and the images I share, so the website as a whole really feels like me and my vibe.
Why did you want a new website?:
I needed a website to support my newly launched copy and brand voice biz! I knew what I wanted to share, and the right website was going to impact how my voice and my offerings made it out into the world. A website is necessary in order for your business to grow and when it's done right, grow it will! The right site will also help you build and earn your potential client's trust.
Why did you choose to purchase one of our templates, rather than a competitor?:
I looked at a lot of templates. A LOT. But Big Cat Creative stood out from the crowd. Not only was the design ridiculously lovely to look at, but I also loved Erica's whole vibe. The product and the person behind the product made Big Cat a big win. I also must admit, I liked the DIY factor because it forced me to learn how Squarespace works so I can now easily make any changes I need to make down the track. How did you feel before you created your new website?:
Before I created my website, I felt like I was simply incapable of reaching my ideal clients in a way that would truly amp up my business, in a way that really felt like me. I felt behind and frustrated because there was nowhere I could really send anyone to showcase who I was and what Wordcraft Studio was all about.
How do you feel now that you have launched your new site?:
Oh boy, I feel empowered, I feel motivated and I feel inspired to kick some major biz butt! I'm excited to reach out to potential clients and share who I am and what I can offer them.
How do you think your business is going to benefit from your new website?:
I'd like to think that my website is going to help shine a light on my business, what it's all about and how I can help other bold businesses and creative entrepreneurs amp up their own potential for growth to score their own dream clients! Without it, I felt hidden and undersupported. This website has really helped me feel more confident about connecting with potential clients. As a copywriter and creative, my happy place lies in fostering growth, self-care, and empowering small businesses and creative entrepreneurs to be the best version of themselves as they share their work and offerings with their clients and community. Those moments that help inspire others to be great, feel confident, and be more wholeheartedly invested in their own growth are waaay fulfilling!
This experience helped ME feel all of those things! Big Cat Creative rocks my socks in a big way!
